LIPS

Whether you want natural-looking defined lips to enhance your natural lip colour, or go bolder with a seductive shade that gives the look of permanent lipstick, semi-permanent lip liner could be the perfect solution for you.

Semi-permanent makeup is a process whereby pharmaceutical-grade pigment is implanted into the upper dermal layer of the skin, resulting in beautifully enhanced eyebrows, eyeliner, or lip liner, giving you a look that is fresh and appears professionally applied.

Over time, lips can lose volume and definition and the corners of your mouth can start to droop. Fortunately, semi-permanent makeup can help correct these signs of ageing, restoring lost colour, outline definition as well as your smile. It can also give the appearance of larger lips with clever placement of the pigment.

During your free consultation with experienced, award-winning, semi-permanent makeup artist, Ros, your expectations will be discussed in detail. Ros will help you identify what sort of lip liner would best suit you. You can choose from a lip liner with blush for a more natural look or a full colour lip which gives the appearance of wearing lipstick. Both styles will create fullness and symmetry once healed.  There are also a whole range of colours to choose from and Ros will talk through the most suitable colour to suit your skin tone and features.

The results can last up to 2 years and the price will include a top up within the first 3 months.Colour boosts are recommended on a yearly basis to keep your lips looking fresh and fully defined.

Step 1. The consultation. Firstly, we will discuss in detail the procedure/s you wish to undergo. We treat every client individually, taking their features into consideration so the end result is totally natural and fits your facial structure and skin tone. There is no obligation to go through with the treatment following a consultation and we will never rush you into anything you are not 100% comfortable or happy with.

Step 2. The patch test. Your safety is important to us. As such, a patch test is required on the treatment area prior to the procedure being carried out. This is to assess whether you have any allergic reactions to the pigments, although this is extremely rare. The patch test is carried out during the initial consultation.

Step 3. The treatment. The treatment time varies depending on the procedure. However, the average time is approximately 2 hours. This includes the initial phase where the makeup is drawn on for you to agree the shape and colouring before commencing with the treatment. Time is dedicated to deciding on the shape and colour of your semi-permanent makeup to ensure an outcome you are happy with. We also apply a high-grade topical anesthetic prior to the treatment being carried out, as our client’s comfort is very important to us.

Step 4. Aftercare. At the end of the treatment, we will explain how to look after the treated area and you will take home aftercare instructions. You will also be given a small sample of aftercare products to use as instructed, as this will be necessary to ensure the original pigment does not fade too quickly.

Step 5. Follow up. Come back in 6 weeks for a follow up.
